After receiving the long-awaited keys 🔑 from the apartment in the new building often there is a desire to improve something in it: change the color of the walls, communication, or make the redevelopment of "wet zones" 💦.
What is a "wet zone" ❓ This room is the bathrooms, bathrooms 🛁, toilets, shower 🚿, kitchens 🍴, whose boundaries are determined by the plans of the technical inventory bureau (BTI).
Consider restrictions and permits when redeveloping and expanding wet areas.
What is allowed:
✅ Combine and expand the bathroom, but subject to the performance of high-quality waterproofing
✅ change the height of the floor in the bathroom. But at the same time it should be below 15-20 mm than in the rest of the rooms, or have a threshold. So, in the case of flooding, water will not spread to neighboring rooms.
✅ Make the entrance to the bathroom from the kitchen or residential room, provided that the apartment has a second bathroom with an entrance from the corridor.
What is forbidden:
❌ Transfer ventilation channels
❌ Join the kitchen to the residential area. This is possible only in two cases: your apartment is on the first floor, and under you basement; You live on the second floor and under you non-residential premises.
❌ Make redevelop the kitchen with expansion at the expense of the bathroom area. Otherwise, the kitchen will be located under the suggestion of the neighbor from above, and this deterioration of your own conditions. But if you live on the last floor - there will be no prohibitions in this case.
